Formula 1 sensation Charles Leclerc is buying a waterfront home in Miami

Driver Charles Leclerc of Formula One placed third in the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday. The native of Monaco is active in the Magic City real estate market off the track. Leclerc has reportedly staked a claim to an as-yet-unbuilt residence inside what would be EDITION Hotels’ first standalone collection of opulent condominium properties. Although the precise cost of the well-known racer’s future home is unknown, “Signature Residences” like the one Leclerc selected can fetch a minimum of $3.1 million. Units start at $2 million.

Bernardo Fort-Brescia, an architect with Arquitectonica, created the EDITION Residences, Miami Edgewater building. Later this year, work on the 55-story tower is expected to start, and its completion is expected to coincide with its opening.

Alessandro Munge of Studio Munge created the renderings of the building’s interior, which include warm, contemporary areas with sliding glass walls that open to balconies with expansive views of the ocean. The renderings depict a light-filled, open-concept great room featuring a formal dining area, a casual living area, and a minimalist kitchen with light-wood cabinetry and a sizable marble island, which includes a breakfast bar for more informal dining.
